Nippelpiercing In Or Out
Joni and Sara are both behind London
Visions of Trees. For the record, they met in 2007 and realizing that they have similar musical tastes, they decided to unite to form
Vision Of Trees
: so far, nothing exciting because it is a just the genesis of almost all groups. Cynics will say that Sarah is just yet another copy of Bat For Lashes priestess or any other indie but it would be forgotten the original music offers us the duo.
Sometimes It Kills
released in early 2010 on the Rhino label Royal Flying Records (listen at least Visions Of Trees just released on Moshi Moshi Records a (not so) new single: "Sometimes It Kills ". With this as a bit reworked for the occasion, the duo wanders a relatively unexpected: just imagine synthesizers stealth pulled on a background of percussion that can be described as tropical. It is unclear, but oh so confused hovering even mesmerizing, just enough to be able to escape and rise into the air. It must be said that the voice of Sara helps us particularly. The video is beautiful: aesthetics and violent mixing stage, it contains contradictions of the title and it's not worse.
on vinyl you can get on Moshi Moshi eg "Sometimes It Kills" is accompanied by a B-side, "No Flag". Playing Tribal least on the side and darker, the title takes its game with the resonance effect of the synthetic voices and ringing that provide a degree of emotion in song. But there's always this tension between the heavy rhythm and highlighted the lighter background : It works less well than "Sometimes It Kills"
but listen anyway, but good. Hopefully this release announces the imminent arrival of an album but we are confident. We want to know more about this amazing duo! Visions of Trees: Myspace
